Google Cloud Goes to a Kölsch Pub

What happens when cutting-edge tech meets real Cologne hospitality? We found out with a unique pop-up event. To bring the potential of Google Cloud, Workspace, and Agentic Work to life, we took it straight to the heart of Cologne's Old Town and into the most collaborative space of all: a traditional Kölsch pub. As the "AI Kneipe by Google Cloud," IT innovation met genuine neighborhood charm in a networking event built for the community.

Concept & Design
Bridging the tech future and rustic charm. Under the motto "Innovation is brewed here," the venue was transformed into an interactive hub for one evening. The Google Cloud experiences blended into the surroundings and were presented in a way anyone could get into.

Experience
Over freshly tapped Kölsch and hearty food, tech met Rhineland hospitality, and the conversations that followed were open, relaxed, and on equal footing. A DJ and live band set the mood and introduced international guests to Cologne's warm pub culture.

Community & Impact
The challenge: going from concept to a fully booked venue in just over a week. Thanks to close collaboration between specialized partners and tight execution, the evening landed. Content production carried the theme online, reaching an audience far beyond the pub itself.
